trackday imminent - rearsets?
#13
Coxy
I have ridden cadwell many times, last time was last september on  warm sunny day. The clearance issue with the fazer aint on fast sweepers, but tighter corners, as the pegs will scrape at about 50 degree angle, which aint that much  given the stickiness of modern tyres.I hit the peg down hard at park corner which is a fast 90 degree corner. I could have gone  alot quicker too. Even though I have  a full Ktech suspension set up, weight matched springs etc...I still am very limited by ground clearance. On that park corner the crash bobbin ground out too, dug in ...which bounced the bike off line. Luckily I saved it and wobbled on. Its why I say once the pegs start dragging , beware of what else might be.
One fazer owner claims to have got his frame down too...so you can see the issue.
It wont stop you really having fun on  a trackday, but if like me, you start really pushing it trying to compete with modern sportsbikes, blades and dukes ( cos a jetted fazer is still quick enuff to dice with them ! )you will have ground clearance issues.
Hence why  now I only do trackdays for pure fun, knowing the ground clearance limits.
