Could you pick up a stock replacement to move your mods over to?

This is one of the options im looking in to, its looking like the best one to if i can find a realy good one for a good price.
the real trouble is i cant get mine back on the road stright away so even though they would have paid out on the bike and me brought it back i wont have transport as they take the hire bike back once they pay out on the bike.
so much hassel just because some numpty cant drive
