My Gen 1 mount went faulty so i decided to try and wire 12v to it via a piece of wire but made a right hash of it. So i contacted Tom Tom to get a estimate for repair. They said send it back we will check it out if the estimate is to costly i could just refuse and get it posted back.
I posted the gen 1 back and waited a couple of weeks before contacting them, when i did they said the problem had been resolved and was on its way back to me. They never mentioned how much it was to repair so i assumed i had wrecked it and they were just posting it back.
How wrong was i :eek They had posted back a brand new Gen 2 yes Gen 2 with all the mount's, connections, and UK gps software free of charge i was pleased to say the least. Customer service at it's best.
