Powder coating wheels

You could take the tyres off and give the rim a good rub with emery/sand paper then buy "tyre rim bead sealer" off evil bay, we use the Rema Tip Top (other makes available :b ) on cages at work, (stuff is like a very runny silicone that dries in about a minute and seals any imperfections on the rim,)seems to hold for about a year, either that or get local tyre repair shop to do it for you.
If you worried about falling off your bike, you'd never get on.
