Hi Guys,
I have standard rim sizes on my bike (01 FZS600) being 17x3.00'' on front and 17x5.00" or rear. When i bought the bike it was wearing, and still is, 120/70-ZR17 BT-021 on the front and 160/60-ZR17 BT-021 on the rear. I have never enjoyed the way it steers, especially at lower speeds under 35-40MPH, as when the bike leans the handlebars want to come in and hit the tank. It takes a fair input of pressure on the bar to get the bike to hold a line around a corner. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have always suspected the front tyre was to blame for this, however i'm not sure. I need to purchase some new hoops for the old girl and have been wondering about other peoples experiences with the original tyre specs, being: 110/70-17 for the front, and 160/60-17 for the rear?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as i want to get rid of the tendency for the handlebar to slap the tank at low speeds.
Thanks in advanceĀ
