the real problem with itunes is not actually within its own functionality, its what it does to your PC/ laptop. itunes takes control of all your media files not only in storage but also playback and makes even the best machines run like dogs!!!
i have had to repair more computer issues caused by itunes trying to run windows than anything else!
as for iphone 5...........well that is just an excuse to rip off more devoted/deluded apple heads, the overall functionality will still be less than the latest androids especially the S3
