I have effectively raised my ride height quite a bit. Shorter dog bones and an adjustable rear shock (Nitron) which is on max height. Have left the front yokes in their standard position. Result is a responsive front end and a noticeably higher bike.
Side effect is that I almost never use the side stand. I'm sure it is safe but I feel uncomfortable letting it go down that far. On the plus side I don't have to get off the bike to use the centre stand. (But I do need a block of wood under the ss for removing wheels, adjusting chain etc)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
