2001, with 2001 tank. My fuel gauge has 3 positions:
1) Full, lasts about 150 kilometres
2) half - lasts for another 150 kilometres
3) reserve - starts from 250 or 300 kilometres. That part is quite accurate. You can actually see the gauge dropping slowly from low to the empty part.
So I rely on resetting trip counter after filling tank to the brim. Just like on bikes without fuel gauge. I'd rather have oil temp (or even pressure) gauge, than fuel one.

Most things done in a hurry need to be done again - patiently.
