The safest asumption with Ireland is that its going to be pissing down with rain the whole time you are there. The most important feature of your tailpack will be how waterproof it is. I'd grab a cheap and cheerful sailing dry sack from a specialist shop or ebay. You will need a cargo net or straps to hold it down and then you are in business. a 25L likes this one is £14 posted
