It's true, the Gen 1 Fazers are incredibly good road bikes and, even now, you have to go a long way to beat them. I used to change my bikes every few years but have had my '05 Fazer 1000 for six years now with no plans to change.  My machine has been Ivanised and if money ever starts burning a hole in my pocket I'll probably throw some at upgrading the suspension rather than replacing the bike.
