There are a few folks around your way, have a wee look at the Members Map up top and see who's close by.
As to the questions about the 6, if you post directly in the FZ6 section you'll likely get a better response.
I had the naked version so can't answer about the lights, but the Yamaclunk into first is fairly standard across the range.
As for fuel consumption, I never get the best from whatever bike I'm on (can't think why...) but I don't remember it being too thirsty.
