Had a look at the fuel filter :eek It should have a yellow paper element, but it was red. Hmmmm.... me thinks there will be rust in the tank. I'll give it a clean out and put in some fresh fuel. Noticed the carb rubbers were hanging off where they connect from the carbs to the air box 
That is going to be fun to try to get them back on! No wonder it won't rev out and the tickover takes ages to drop from 3000 rpm. My pile of poo will see the road again one day!!! Its a Kawa fx400r (Jap import) apparently its a naked gpx 400 :'( Fabulous. The offer of £90 is sounding more reasonable by the day :lol
