Wanted rear mudguard

I did try once in last winter to fabricate an extention, I used the plasic mudguard that halfords sells for boy racer cars.
Unfortunately it didn't do a thing. I looked back one day to see why, the wind was sucking it back on top of the rear tyre, burning it through...

So if you're going down that route, don't use soft plastic  :lol
