		Take up smoking.  Smokers always want to stop for a ciggie ever hour or so - which seems the perfect time to have a break on a long bike run.  Lots of short 10 min breaks means you can keep riding all day, whilst a 3 hours stint will have you aching and not wanting to get back on the bike.
