I was given a new(ish) Diversion as a 'courtesy' bike after a recent 'off'. It was handed over late evening and was dark so didn't really get a look at it, next day when i rode to work i was running late and, again (and a little shamefully as i obviously didn't do any safety checks) didn't really look at it again. I think i was under the impression it was Yamaha's answer to Kawa's ER6 - and so assumed it was a parallel twin.
It certainly felt like one to ride - i was amazed when i (finally) looked and saw 4 pipes coming out the engine.
Maybe 600's have gone downhill since i had my Thundercat(?) but i thought the XJ little better than my CB500 it was filling in for (ok the frame and suspension were a little better). Of course it's a slightly unfair 'test' as the bike i was given had, doubtlessly, been thrashed but i'd certainly look in to some of the alternatives first...

Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."
