Mine went pop too and I spent the best part of a week with no hot water or heating. So I feel ya pain.
The Heating Engineer, who I trust, had mentioned (in passing) that Worcester Bosch boilers were good boilers. However he had recommended two to me which were Viessmann and Vaillant. I'm not sure about relative cost or anything (I have not had the bill in yet) but I opted for the Vaillant as it would give me a flow rate of around 15 l/min at a temp differential of 35 degrees. The viessmann was slightly lower flow of about 14 l/min at the same temp differential. We did not look at Worcester Bosch so I'm not sure of their performance characteristics. He just mentioned them by name and that they were good.
