Mine was the same mate at about 50k onwards. I thought it was going to be because the clutch was ready for replacement soon. Turned out that I just needed to replace the clutch cable as it was old and had stretched.
Got a new cable, wound the adjusters back to their original settings and now the biting point is exactly where it should be. Could be worth a punt, cable wasn't that expensive and it was an easy job :thumbup
