Quick thermostat question?
#4
Grahamm is right, 5 degrees is about the "frost" setting. Your fridge is around the same tempreture...The wall, if it is an external wall, will be colder and transfer the cold onto the unit. Really you don't want anywhere in your house to get to a refrigerated tempreture anyway. 16 is a low minimum, 19 is average.

You could end up with all sorts of problems, not even talking about your health here. Damp being the biggest. Our batroom has 2 exteriour walls(South & West) , and in the winter they take a beating. To combat the damp we had to install a radiator half the size of one of the biggest walls and full underfloor heating. Once damp sets in, it can be hard and expencive to get rid. Just a wee heads up mate as it cost us £4G!
Not quite sure what to do with my early mid-life crisis. Ideas on a post card to P.O.BOX 150...
