Technoflex fork springs for 79€ shipping incl!!
#4
Great improvement. Near no need of preload, so small bumps are filtered better. Much slower diving at braking without the harsh feeling of the second hard rate of the original ones. (I am 85kg)

There is not Technoflex logo, no box, just BM Suspension stickers and a weird gift: a carabiner. The measures are the same as the '99 OEM ones: 324 mm. I fitted them with a 170mm spacer (I do not know the length of the OEM's spacer ) and 2000- adjustable caps. When the caps are at the lowest position there is not preload, I have finally chosen the 6th position, just about 4mm of preload.

The fork oil is Motul SAE 20. It can seem too much but thats what my mechanic and Ohlins recommend for damping rod forks. It was a bit too viscous with the original springs, but now feels perfect. On summer it will become much lighter too. The Ohlins oil would be like almost a sae 25.

Every custom rate maker recommend linear springs, or at least truly progressive, but not dual rate ones. Anyway linears are actually progressive when they deform and the rate rises, they are not perfect. Also the air and oil inside the fork acts like a spring, actually a "too progresive" one (thats the problem of low tech forks like ours).
You can calculate your rate at the racetech usa site.
