Its a multi chambered balloon basically ! , but with a quality waterproof fabric cover. Its shaped like an old fashioned bike seat, sits on top of your stock seat, and is easily removed when you get off it. It can be fixed on more permanently if you wish. Think of it more along the lines of a seat cushion. But it is very thin, like I said above.What I like about it is the fact you can take it from bike to bike, and not have to alter the stock seat.If I was to run a gen2 on tour it would be my first move ! But if the budget allows I would get tony archer to do the seat as well.Reason being you then get say 2 or 3 hour comfort for day to day riding , but have the airhawk for increased distance comfort.
On tour I actually get on the bike first then sit up and stick it underneath me, it never moves ( well what would with me stuck on top of it ! ) .On my first trip down to spain it was like riding on air, it really was comfy. I will c if I can find it out and post a piccie, but surprised google cant find a picture ? It also looks a bit like the old flat caps chaps used to wear 50 yrs ago ! :lol
