I remember a thread on here (old site) many moons ago with an article from Bridgestone or Michelin technical department about not bothering to mix a sticky front something with a long lasting rear something as the pairs that they made were already of mixed grippy fronts and long lasting rears and the profiles matched.
As far as I know there is no problem mixing although I do like Michelins (personal preference only) but the profile rating of the tyre should mean that they are all about the same diameter and trwad thickness before they wear. lst trip to the bike shop the mechanic had forgotten to order my Michelin in and fitted a Bridgestone- cant say I noticed any difference in handling
Anyone worked out the difference in your speedo accuracy between a fat new tyre with deep tread and the worn out just about to replace it tyre? is it appreciable?
