The company originally traded as Scorpion and later changed it's name. So basically, whether your can has Scorpion or Akrapovic on it it has come from the same company.Found that an interesting comment so did a quick google. According to their website Akrapovic were founded by Igor Akrapovic in Slovinia in 1990 and were originally branding their exhausts as "Skorpion in Scorpion" but changed this to Akrapovic in 1997 because their brand was similar to other manufacturers. Scorpions website doesn't say when they were founded but does state "Scorpion Exhausts are proud to be a British manufacturer and exporter to over 30 countries". So whilst I can see where some confusion between the two names could come from and why Akrapovic changed their name, what evidence I found seems to suggest that they never were one and the same company. Don't know if anyone else has any proof one way or the other?
