For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't regret it! Similar story here - ex FZS 600, moved on to a Ducati (ST4s) , currently in bits so found a big Fazer and am thoroughly enjoying it... Sorry to hear about your mishap but there may be a silver lining!
