Cheers guys, still not sure about making the trip, but the car (a merc) is well cheap compared to the main dealers pricing and still has two years manufacturers warranty to run.
If it is OK it's the difference between a 60 reg or a local 08 plate car so even doing two round trips it's a no brainer but work and other commitments mean I can't get there for a couple of weekends though
