replaced the fork selector and checked its ok 3 time but still jumps out of 2nd

hi guys
this is really starting to annoy me now my bike has a new selector fork and still jumps out of 2nd gear all i cn think is my drum has gone to i havent tried replacing that yet thought what should the drum look like condition i mean ???
any help or advice appreciated
