If the £600 has to provide a pair of tyres, head races and full service you wont have a huge amount left. Id buy a battery conditioner for the winter if youre not planning to ride it, or if unlike me youre a proper biker who will be totting up the miles over winter Id definately get a chain lube device of some sort, lubeman do one for around 20-30 I think and a scottoiler is ££'s more. will save money and hassle in the long run. Generally these fazers seem to be pretty reliable, usual jap stuff, the only failure Ive had that wasnt a consumable was a fuel pipe giving way due to age, these are 30 odd quid a shot. but generally Id say spend the extra cash on petrol and enjoy the bike
bear in mind that these bikes are pretty cheap and dont really warrant a huge investment as there are so many about. That being said its probably the best bike that Ive ever owned.
