There are *way* too many variables that have to be accounted for to give a precise location, the resistance of the atmosphere, high altitude winds, how the vehicle will tumble and break up on re-entry etc.

The best that they can do with a reentry that is under some sort of control (eg the deorbit of the Mir space station) was to warn shipping in a corridor that was IIRC something like 1000 miles long and 300 miles wide which is about the same size as Great Britain!

Once upon a time, the BBC were an organisation to be proud of. Now they are no different to the gutter press.
Bashir should be stripped of his BAFTA he received for the interview.

Just a shame that as usual with the BBC its all coming 25 years too late... (a bit like the last major scandal they had) ? other than Bashir I doubt there's anyone else that will get in any bother for it. Most of them will have either moved on or retired by now ?

[/quote]I think all awards have been returned. The BBC is bias and they lie just like sky and channel 4. They may report on a story that could be factually correct but the way it is told or a lot of the time its what they don't tell you that is misrepresenting the story.

I wonder about the moral compass of some of these news readers, surly they must be reading the auto cue and think "this is bolox" any yet just carry on and take their shilling. Just waiting now for GB News to go live and give them all a kicking. They have already taken key anchors from the main news channels.

I think I got this right ---The bloke in charge at the time and was in charge at the time of the BBCs own investigation that cleared bashier retired on a nice fat retirement. That should be rescinded and re calculated on the basis that he should of resigned at the time, instead ov covering up bashires deceit and quietly retiring will all benefits.

Is it - I have not heard that, but on the other hand I have never watched Fox news - is it on freeview as that's all I have.

I don't actually care if my news is biased left or right but what I do care about is when a broadcaster is biased but hides behind a veil of neutrality. Sounds to me like GB news is going to be about proper debate from both sides. Can only be healthy.

Just noticed that the other Administrator 'Aegis' hasn't logged into this site for almost a year and four months. Similarly two of the Moderators haven't been active for around 9 months and 10 months respectively.

Isn't that a bit odd for members' who hold these positions to be inactive for so long?.

Aegis is active in a silent way - I still communicate with him as required. As for the others - I have no idea really
