Sorry Mr.Red,
The last 4 times I've tried to post a pic I just get an error message, so didn't bother taking any yesterday. Thought I had the the pic posting nailed, but obviously not. :'(
The error message is http 500, whatever that is.

A ride to the K1 Cafe, near Uttoxeter, via Whitchurch, Audlem, Market Drayton, Eccleshall, Stone. Dry roads, light traffic, 10 degrees. 130 miles. Just realised that I should have posted on ' What did you do with your Fazer today'. Old git error, sorry !
Took the Speed Triple for it's MOT. The powers that be have decided to dig up Mitcham resulting in traffic chaos. Got to the garage late only to be told the bike mot guy had gone sick. To cap it all the manifold on the middle cylinder decided to hole. Always thought this was stainless steel, but hey, what do I know. Back again in the morning and hope he lets it go as need it for 25th anniversary event in the next month or so. Don't fancy having to mess with 25 year old exhaust manifold nuts, but gotta be done. At least there's only 6 not 8 :'( .

Got through the MOT with an obvious advisory on the manifold. Really don't fancy that job at all. Fortunately there's some fencing to be done followed by decorating, so sorting the Triumph is on the back burner, a sorn it is then.

yesterday went for a short blast down A27 & got back to find I had lost my meerkat off my sissy bar
will have to take another slower pass to see if I can find him... he had pins from a particular rally I had done on his jacket!
Managed to fight the headers off my Speed Triple and dropped them off today with the exhaust guy, who's going to make new flanges and repair the holed section. New studs, nuts and gaskets ordered, so just waiting for the stud extractor I ordered, to arrive which won't be until after the weekend. Then hopefully remove the 2 studs that wouldn't come out with a bolt remover. Might try the Harpic trick to clean up the rest of the system.

Speed Triples back together, but as usual for me, not without drama. The exhaust guy replaced two of the three flanges as they were well past their sell by date. However on attempting to fit the manifold the new flanges were 2mm thicker than the originals, meaning insufficient stud thread poked through, preventing the nuts from threading up. The choice now was sourcing longer studs, taking them back to the exhaust guy, or attacking the flanges with an angle grinder. I plumbed for the latter and after an hour and a half, painstakingly got the stud hole areas ground down a few mm. The rest went sweet as a nut, just got to wait till June to retax it.

Satisfying,I bet . Back in the day after doing a job like that there was nothing better than a roll up,a cuppa and chill out for ten, well chuffed. :lol
never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up.
Bought a tiny Yamaha from 1978
With such a bike but in blue I passed my driver license in 1981. I was the last one who was allowed to. Because law changed and then in Germany 27 HP and a certain weight was mandatory for dirving school bikes.Looks on the pictures better than she is. There is some work to do.
