What did you do with whatever else you've got?

I would guess it depends on how hard you apply that front brake, I am not talking about squeezing it hard but just causing the pads to dust onto the discs, causeing the forks to compress a little which in turn pushes the front tyre harder into the road, in theory causing the tyre to bite the road not slide out, it’s only when a tyre looses adhesion it slides out from under you, over braking and locking a wheel will of course do that.

I upgraded my FAC .20 calibre rapid seven which was shooting at 38ft/lb to .25 calibre (24" polygonal LW barrel) which is now punting out 33 grain slugs at 60ft/lb. and with a custom built moderator is unbelievably quite, both at the indoor (old railway tunnel) club range in Monmouth and sniping rats down on the farm permission from 100 yrds away. I'm a bit of a wuss.. actually don't like killing things (but always loved shooting)so only shoot vermin and targets, but do love the long range stuff.

Neat bit of kit!
That moderator is HUGE… probably explains why the 5” long “silencer” (as it was called then) I had on <12ftlb pneumatic just added an annoying squeak to the discharge.  :lol

lol is it a big un mate, but you can imagine the amount of air coming out of that barrel. in truth my .22 s200 (also on ticket" as its FAC but at a modest 18ft/lb) is a far better, lighter general hunter, and much easier to shoot off the shoulder. The .22 also leaves something for the dog to pick which keeps him happy, the .25 more or less turns squirrels and rats inside out. :rolleyes

had to use alu for the big uns moderator (dyson hoover tube ofn ebay as it goes..very light and strong and superbly machined and accurate..the baffle and airstripper holes are only .2mm bigger than the pellet so it has to be) ) because its putting out too much for carbon fibre, but the cf mod on the .22 is far neater.
Mind, the .25 will be handy if theres ever a zombie apocalypse though.. :lol Wink

Makes my Webley Raider look like a peashooter :2guns :2guns :2guns :2guns
Raider is running at the UK street legal 12 Foot Pound, but still knocks squirrels, rabbits and rats over at 50 mtrs, but rabbits have to be a head shot.
Would love to up the out put but do not have the knowledge. :book

it aint worth the grief and possible jail time without having FAC mate. If you join your local gun club you'll have your ticket by spring, and FAC rifles are actually cheaper than sub twelves!

fitted heated grips to me 'onda. And machined/cut/bastardized up some bits to make my old GPZ900r stainless bar ends fit it too. My lathe was a drill and a file, and my pillar drill was some grips and the cordless again. took bloody ages. still, what are sundays for huh..

Curious...what does the Honda do that the Fazer doesn't...or do better? Seems to me you have the means of financing a very nicely finished Fazer there Wink :b

I cannot answer that mate. It might be a nostalgia thing, I had one years back for five years, and had lots of adventures on it..did a lot f touring two up etc too. I love the look of the Honda, and the grunt of the thing. As brilliant as the fazer is (and we know it is) I still love a true nekkid bike..probably because I lusted after so many as a schoolboy in the early seventies. It has the silhouette of all the bikes I had stuck up on me bedroom walls. In truth, fuck knows. But, like that boneshaker Harley ive got (which has no positives whatsoever lol) on the right day, it just suits me. Us fen folk are weird dontcha kno… Wink Smile
