The 2005 blue is nowhere near as nice as the proper Yamaha blue of earlier years, therefore no contest....red/black. Anyone know why Yamaha dropped the proper blue on the later years production.

At the moment, it's red/black. When I had my first one, it was silver. Then red when I got a red one. Then blue when I got a blue one. Then yellow/black (but it had to have speed blocks  Big Grin ). But now, yeah, definitely red/black. I'll let y'all know if it changes again.

Mine is a 2002 blue bike and I prefer that blue to the late blue but if I would go with the red and black if all things were equal, I bought mine on mileage and condition rather than colour. Smile

I like the black engine ones, mine is the later blue with silver engine, but I bought it on condition not colour.
I would like original Yam blue but with black engine (but it don't exist ) Red and black is my favourite. Robbos is pukka

I agree with the whole concept of buying on condition but if the condition of the two bikes is the same then colour is the only choice to be made.... it’s proving more difficult than I thought...... the seller of the blue one is being more helpful, and it seems the easier buy.... so galaxy blue it is

Did you have a preference between silver or black engine/swingarm?.

The only colour you did not mention was the superior 'Silver Model', you don't see many of them up for sale cos all the owners say they would never sell theirs as they are by far and away the best option and would not ever likely to be able to replace, it so they hang on to them, making them rare and a collectors piece.
Mine may only be a baby boys Fazer (FZS600) but its the right colour.  :rollin :rollin :rollin
