what did you do with your fazer today ?
MOT time for the mighty thou , phones my usual tester this morning and hes had a cancellation , bring it down now and ill get it done for you he says , no problem I say , see you in 30 mins , now , I dont tax my thou in the winter months but I do start it every now and then and do all the little jobs that have been annoying over the past year my garage is a bit busy with various projects and hobbies and with the thou not being used for a while its at the back  :rolleyes      finially get to the thou , key in iginition on , choke on annnnnnnnnnnd.............FOC      broke the choke cable  :groan ....thats alright i thinks , bikes a good starter and rarely needs choke i'll just give it a bit more throttle and hold it at 2000 rpm for a minute or two...........no  :groan
......dosnt want to start and now the batterys low , drag the 600 back in the garage and sort out the jump leads......brum brum it starts , hold the throttle open for a while and it settles down nicely , everything back in the garage and down to the testing station, appolgise for being late and tell them why they all have a good laugh at my expense  :o .......test done , more piss take , and out to the bike......FOC IT.....batterys flat . Walk back in to the teasting station and ask for a push.....more piss taking , we get the bike going and I tell the piss taking so called bikers to foc off and ride home ........wasn't this much hassle last yesr  :\

Did nothing with my Fazer or my lil Honda. They both came out of the shed ya week or two ago for MOT's and I decided not to put them away as I am scooting about on the C90. They are locked under a long lean
-to beside my house, on passing them today I noticed that they are both covered in a very fine pinky grey dust that looks as fine like talcum does. Now I know I love my bikes and treat them well but I draw the line at talc.

Wtf is going on.  :eek

Warm air coming up from the Saharah I would imagine.
My ex mother in law turned up at my door last night with two suit cases in her hands and asked if she could stay for a couple of days.
Of course I said.
When I opened my front door this morning she was covered in it too.

Looking good! What compounds and mop heads are you using to achieve those results? Have got a small bench grinder but never had a go at polishing with it. Normally just go by hand with Autosol and finish with Belgom Alu.

Forget that - by hand - if I can get if off easy then its on the bench. I got all my stuff from here http://www.thepolishingshop.co.uk/acatal...a_-p1.html I used the finest grade yellow one but they were pretty shiny to start with. I have 3 grades of soap and the matching 3 types of mop and do not mix mops with soaps.

Just looked at my receipt and I have
yellow Menzema p175
blue p164
green 439t
all in quarter bar size

close stitch mop to start with the first grade soap (cant remember it that is blue or green)
G quality mop with the next soap
WDR loose mop for the yellow finishing.

These are what I decided on after a little reading on the subject

WARNING - IT IS ADDICTIVE.

Took the rad off to clean all the tar that had congealed on the front of the engine after riding on a newly surfaced road in France last year. While I was at it I thought I'd copper grease the exhaust flange studs. Seven of the nuts came off sweet as proverbial nuts. But there's always one motherfoccer, no matter what you're doing. The nut was fused to the stud which was just about turning, but after a squirt of Halfords Shock and Unlock, it was quickly out. Phew. A stud and a couple of nuts ordered together with pads for the front, so will no doubt do the exup valve tomorrow whilst awaiting the parts.

Great weather in Morecambe today so cleaned her then a ride up to Kirby Lonsdale and finished off at Sunderland point in Overton which is where the photo was taken. Lots of bug splats on the lid too which makes me happy.....summer is finally here, fingers crossed it stays long time.

First ride on the 1000 since last October, having spent the winter and 3000 miles on the 600. Just over 100 miles on the quiet Shropshire and Staffordshire  roads. Beautiful day, sunny, 15 degrees. Off to the Raven Cafe, Prees Heath, in the morning to the Big breakfast meet.

Took the Fazer FZS 600 & the Mrs out for a very short run today.
We done some work in the garden to start with today, that earned me a short ride out this arvo.
Pooped down to Loomies Biker Cafe in West Meon, Hants. We grabbed a mug of tea and went home.
Simple!
It was crowded at Loomies, hundreds of bikes, all the time (1 Hour) we were there there were bikes in and out at all times, some really nice bikes some not so nice. Spotted a Fazer there a yellow FZS1000 on a 03 plate, anyone we know?
