New Fazer owner here I have been around the block a few times and back, and have just bought a 2005 Fazer 1000 in silver

I have only been on it once when I rode it back to Lancashire from London on Sunday and it ran as sweet as a nut  Smile

The bike runs great I have put another four hundred miles on since then and its still feels good, I did try it with the baffle out of the pipe and it was a bit fluffy on the throttle but sounded really good,  so probably needs a rejet and balance ?

I have already refitted the baffle, but have been away with work so haven't used the bike again, I am hoping to get the time to have a look at the air filter and change the oil
How can you tell if its had the airbox mod done ?
One thing I do know it needs is a taller screen or DB thingy, overall though for the money its a good bike  Smile

Welcome Eric - hopefully you don't have to do too much work to the bike and can just get out riding - it's the perfect bike for it.

Once you're sure everything is as it should be, why not get it Ivanised (lots of info on here) - from all reports throttle response is crisper as well as the engine running stronger and more efficiently. It's on my list of things to get done before next spring.
