Very nice clean bike there. Good luck selling it. I suspect the price may be a bit high but you never know, it is good condition.

Absolutely correct, I did. But I still have the sense of humour that is required in this forum. :pokefun

Where are you based?

Not after buying it as I also feel it's a bit on the high side but someone that's interested may need a location.

Mick-H - I'm in Ilkeston, South Derbyshire (between Nottingham and Derby, less than 10 minutes from either M1 J25 or 26).

Yes, it's priced to dissuade all the chancers, it's very clean and well kept and I want to go to a good home and not be used as a hack.
As I said in the original post, I don't need to sell it and after ten years of ownership I'm quite attached to it - I just need to work out how to put my MT09's engine in the Fazer's chassis.

As commented by others in the post, it is a very, very clean looking machine, the other thing in it favour it has not had much in the way of so called upgrades done to it.
I bought my FZS600 2003 Foxeye 4 years ago, not as clean as this one granted (But it had been looked after and regularly serviced) with 24K on the clock. I paid £1950 for mine.
I too think that this one is on the high side price wise.

I was reading on VisorDown about all the bikes most likely to become classics and the FZS600 was top of the list, so if someone had that sort of dosh and decided to garage it they could be onto a winner.
But with the new regulations about to come in, and, those planned for the future maybe a vehicle with a petrol engine is not such a great investment.

Very pretty bike though Foxeye03.

Good luck with the sale and I am sure if someone does purchase it for something close to your asking price they would not use it as a hack because if that is what they wanted something to use as a hack there are a lot of scruffy ones out there for 7 or 8 hundred pounds.

Oh! one other thing chill out a bit mate.
Good luck

Just reading this post again, and, also being a failure on the education front (11 plus failure) I noticed that Foxeye03 was addressing BBROWN1664, (an individual) surely, but am happy to be wrong, please correct if that is the case, using the term 'they are' infers more than one individual, I believe the term should have been 'he or she was' as we are talking about an individual person and it is in past tense.

Not wishing to be perdantic but if we are going to be critical of one and other we need to be extra careful with what we say/type.
So don't do like what I do cos I do like what I'm told.

Yet another puerile comment by a smart arse. FFS Vinny this is a motorbike forum for bikers so please try to maintain standards. Your cnut comments are about as welcome as a reggae band at a Ku Klux Klan convention. TW@ !!

Sorry Frosties, I feel so ashamed :'(  I'll try to maintain the respectful standards expected of FOC forum members in future.

To all the harbingers of doom, deposit taken this morning at a price I'm happy with.

Forums, eh? full of people who really should get out more instead of living a virtual life - I think 'should get out more' was the strapline to one of the 'contributors' to this thread because really, in the process of selling my bike, what have any of you foccers meaningfully contributed? definitely not intelligent conversation, that's for sure.

Whilst having had a Fazer for over 10 years and know them inside out, is it any wonder, judging by the 'eloquence' displayed on this forum that some people choose not to partake?
Some of you like to make supposedly funny, sarcastic comments but don't like it when it's dished back at you - the one about setting the clock, big fucking deal, that pure comedy gold was so hilariously funny............if you're a pre-pubescent schoolboy (that's about the level of most of the contributions).

Mods, please delete this thread and my account.
