Biggest waste of money
#1
Ok, what's the biggest waste of money you've had the joy of purchasing?
I'm talking about motorcycle kit and accessories only, we already know all about Harleys.

PS> anyone want to buy a carbon fibre tax disc holder?

Super Unleaded petrol - or the (Shell) V-Power type diesel.

All the cost for no measurable benefit.

I find the better petrol does the job, noticed it first on my C90 so tried it in the car.
Acceleration a little crisper but mpg defo gets better.
Even though it's more expensive to buy I worked out that it'd be around £25 a year cheaper over 10000 miles.
Granted it's not a lot but it gives me 200 miles for nothing on the Fazer.

:agree
Tried them all over the years, several times, just for comparison.
97 is the value, 99 is good but overpriced, but my bike just doesn't feel responsive to 95 in comparison to either of the other two.

I bought some of those LED tire valve dust caps that are ment to show a glowing disk of light in your wheel when they spin. What a load of bollocks they were. I spotted them on evilbay for a couple of quid and thought to myself hummm! I like Tron so sod it and bought them  :lol they lasted about 1 day before they cracked up and broke off.
RIP my beautiful red beast 1999 to 2017 ???

Purchased a vasectomy a few years back, worst purchase imaginable, infection set in & my man spuds went the colour of beetroot & were so swollen i couldn't pull me trousers over the feckers. Not bike related i know but stopped me riding for a while, two months of shocking pain, crutches & elasticated breeches.

Was it a cheap chinese one from ebay ?  Smile

I actually paid for mine as well at private clinic 22 years ago, best investment I ever made Big Grin

Anyway to get back on thread topic, worst piece of kit I ever bought was a crash helmet Windjammer, if you turned your head at all it would slide off the helmet and wrap itself round your neck.

Sounds like you had bad luck there Dea-ville.
I had the same operation 22 years ago, I had it done in a Hospital Outpatients one morning and was back at work the next day with no ill effects what-so-ever.

A mate of mine had it done around the same time and one of his Gooleys was black and badly swollen, he was off work for nearly 2 weeks with an infection in it, mind you his 3 year old daughter did not help by running across the room and jumping into his lap
:eek  :'(

The wp stands for wasted pounds I reckon.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,

Another one here also about 17 years ago, didn't pay for mine all went well and no problems for me, I was sat up enough to watch it being done. Felt like a football being kicked in the goolies for a short while, couple of hours perhaps.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

KBC VR1 helmet, great looking lid and comfortable but get above 90 and it would shake your head so violently you'd get blurred vision

Talking of vasectomies, many years ago my wife booked mine for me. The first time I met the surgeon was in the corridor on the way down and he said " I must just check that you do know why you're here?" lol

Then several years later I was on a job in a house. As I was crouching down looking at a lock, the householder asked me if I had a vasectomy?
I replied something like "How can you tell from there?"
"I did it" he said. And there I was talking to the only man who's ever touched my willy!

Had a bad experience in hospital. Had an ultrasonic scan on my testicles to check for a tumour, was laid there with a doc rubbing gel on my balls when a bunch of student nurses walked in.... Not very embarrassing
