Shod my other pride and joy with two pairs of shoes.  Uniroyal Rainsport 3's for a grand total of £330.....bargain and renowned to be one of the better tyres out there for rain/dry and noise.

And for some self gratuitous pleasure, here she is;

Nice scoobie, my son has a classic, I do most of the maintenance on it and in return get to play with it sometimes Smile

Thanks.  Mine's a personally imported Legacy GT Spec B.  I've had two previous to this one, both were twin turbo wagons a Gen 2 and Gen 3.  This is a twinscroll so same power but not as complicated a set up as the sequential turbo's on the previous models.

Nice to see an understated/grown up Scooby for a change. I think they are great cars that have been ruined by the image of middle aged yobs spinning their gold wheels round car parks haha

As for the tyres, I'm looking for something quieter at the minute. I had a some yokohamas put on my car not so long ago and they are horrendously noisey on the motorway ??

Thanks, if you're referring to mine Wink  Exactly why I went for the Legacy.  Wanted something with the power (more than the average Impreza also) when I needed it but also something that's comfortable to drive/sit in and wouldn't be a magnet for thieves!  I say comfortable but it's on Tein coilovers so isn't actually that comfortable for an old man like myself  :rolleyes

I can recommend the Uniroyals for noise, 72dB I think they're rated at which means nothing to me but I've certainly noticed a difference between them and the tyres that I already had on, infact, I'm pretty sure I'm just hearing wind noise over the wing mirrors now Wink

fast group at oulton, got held in the pits at the start of the day for ages whilst the other bikes were out there. anyway eventually got waved off and shot around on my first sighting lap................no bikes.......hmmmm.
second sighting lap still no bikes..........better up the pace a bit otherwise a gixxer 1000 will come howling past. i'm now going at 8-9/10ths...............still no bikes, come whipping around druids and finally see a bike...................i'll just sit in behind him and..................shit he's touring.
i stand the bike on it's nose, nearly go over the top so let off and .............................bang.
i wake up looking up several sets of nostrils. the chopper had already landed so gawd knows how long i'd been out.
ended up in Stoke hospital, and was walking...............very gingerly i might add, within an hour. because i'd been out for a while they kept me in overnight.
got back to oulton on tues aftie and had a very slow drive home.
bike has a knackered top fairing, split straight down the middle. clock brackets aren't the shape the Harris brothers intended. front loom has some road rash, radiator on the left is now double banana, the o/s crash bung snapped in half so the bellypan and footrest took the slide. tank has man lumps dent in the rear and an elbow dent in the front.
all the hospital staff were asking me what my lottery numbers were!

Made a start on my new 'temporary' tank.  It's actually looking better than their current home.  All this so I can get the living room carpet replaced  :eek
