i have a yamaha xj 600 pre diversion


been looking at the earlier boxeye, could you tell me rough price range for a half decent one (private purchase) and common faults please?

Not sure why limit your choice to boxeye only? You can find decent mileage Fazer FZS 600 (boxeye or foxeye) for about £1000 plus minus 200.

Both boxeye and foxeye does not have any major faults. The only thing you may need to check is the front sprocket nut - Yamaha has replacement just in case, actual faults have been very rare.

When I was looking at buying my Fazer they were showing for a decent one prices between £1000 & £1500 like Val said that's for the box and fox eye. However the foxeye models are closer to the £1500 mark as they are newer.


This one is going for a good price but will need the restrictor removing if you have a unrestricted license:
