Took the rear wheel off , took it to Morpheus to get the puncture repaired , unfortunately  he poo pood that idea , said I need a new tyre as it was on the wear markers ,  ordered a T30 evo , being fitted tomorrow £110 . Whilst I was working on the bike , decided to service the ExUP , stripped , cleaned regreased, and reassembled , will need to order a new set of cables , one had snapped not surprised it was frayed when I serviced it last year.

Lesson of the day/year/decade

Went for a short ride with me new boots and folding short levers.
Where's the lever when needed for braking at the roundabout? it's folded up.
Luckily was going slow so had time to fold down and brake.
Lesson of the day/year/decade check the screws are tight on new folding levers before you set off, could have been very nasty.

Washed it, adjusted and lubed chain and a nice early evening blast round Pateley Bridge and Stump Cross Caverns.

Took the Fazer out to scrub in the new T30 evo rear tyre , up thru Burrington , down thru Cheddar , then onto Wells and home , 70 miles done today it it lasts longer than the PR3 , then imo it's a better tyre than the PR3 .

Ragged the arse off it around Romney Marsh while everybody else was at work. Loving my 2005 Fazer 1000.

Changed the spark plugs for iridium ones... Top tip! Take the fat bit off the top BEFORE you drop one into the hole and the tool can't then lift it back out :lol

over last couple of days......

Put R6 shock in with made up (temp) dogbones as waiting to see where I need to go with it, just wanted to try out the new shock, so spacers made and all settings set to middle I duly went for a wee run before going over Dukes Pass for those that don't know this road, it's a bit twisty to say the least!
Anyway, all the temp mods worked so I'll move onto getting proper stuff for it now.

Fairly happy with the settings on shock and the spring too as people have said I'd need a firmer spring but I just wonder if this one has already been upgraded as it didn't bounce around as I was expecting Smile

Happy as Larry with the test ride Smile

Also fitted my H4 HID but will need to wait for dark nights but my mate advised me they look awesome. Smile
