I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
I bought an Alpinestars Nucleon KR-21 Level 2 Back Protector Insert last August for £29-99. Better than the piece of foam that came with the Alpinestars jacket !
Forcefield ones are thicker than standard ones (which one would assume is better for protection) so if your jacket is already tight fitting take that into consideration as it'll be even tighter!

Some say...
Found it - this is the one I have
http://www.hein-gericke.nl/hein-gericke-...ektor.html I think I found the forcefield made the jacket too tight and I found it heavy, I did a lot of reading up at the time and came to the conclusion that the hein gerick offered just as much protection, and miles better than the "glove box foam".
But I also use a separate lower back protector that fits like a kidney belt its the same as this but just the lower 3 sections on a belt

I've always like Forcefield. I wear a separate one under my textiles. Recent leather jacket was Dainese so got their own that fitted the insert, more of a plastic armour type. Works ok, but for fields are thinner.
