What did you do with whatever else you've got?
It was our penultimate dance lesson as beginners tonight , we carried on with  the Quick step and started learning the Jive .

Wouldn't have minded seeing some photos of the Flying Scotsman though - or couldn't you keep up with it?  :lol

I did about 150 miles on the Striple today, which is much more realistic for it if I don't want to end up in pain  :lol  Route was Alston, Hexham, Stanhope, Middleton and home. This is the Triumph's proper hunting ground from now on I think. Absolutely gorgeous weather today  Big Grin

Stopped at Derwent Reservoir:

And then got all arty-farty with the camera  :lol

And it's nice to enjoy some complete silence for a while:

Especially after the aural battering this bike subjects me to  :lol  I love it, like a symphony with the pipe, the transmission whine and the roar from the air box; it all builds to a howling crescendo when you wind it on, but by foc, it's deafening!

Cheers taylor, still just using the compact, haven't got to grips with the DSLR yet  :rolleyes
No straight roads along this reservoir, it's all very twisty, bit bumpy too. The Triumph's suspension is set up rock hard at the moment, and it's rattling my fillings out! Must get round to having a fiddle with it.

On the subject, is it just me that thinks they should have repainted it in the same green it was when it served the LNER, complete with it's 4472 no.? That's how I always picture it anyway.
Where did you see it dick? Once it's installed at York, I'll definitely need to do a trip to the railway museum.

I too liked the old number...not sure why it wasn't retained.
It's on the North York's Moors railway this week till Sunday.

Something of the dragon emerging from it's lair as it exited the shed there. Hard to believe these monsters were once everyday sights when you watch them now. Red98 has actual real memories of them  :eek

But there again, he remembers when he saw the first chariot the Romans brought over  :lol
