Found a little paraffin burner after a clear out and got that going for the winter.

We tried to straighten the valve out and although it went back together it wouldn't turn correctly when fitted

The pin runs through all 4 carbs internally and the end has snapped off.....it's either a pain in the arse to start or a free security mod lol

I will just clean the bike this week and think about where to go with this.

I'm not sure how far to go considering it's only  18k. I am gonna keep the bike and probably strip it down around 60/70k so the work I do now shud make that easier.  Not sure about the carb pin or wether to repair or remove the exup valve. Also I was thinking of having the rad off for good access to the header bolts. And possible respray/engine tidy without having the block out.  I was thinking maybe get the stands out and spray them and under the bike with something that looks tidy and has protective elements.

Advice appreciated

If anyone has exup bits for sale let me know as that will help determine the first issue to solve.

Should be just a case of removing and replacing.

Re swinging arm and chain. If your new chain is endless, put it on the swing arm before refitting.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Pair of long noes pliers to undo/unscrew the old one, simple as. Be firm but gentle as the black nut is made from plastic.

Recently replaced these on my TDM and as b1k3rdude said be firm but gentle :lol . I ended up bending the head of a spanner so I could get a bit more grip on the plastic nut, still rounded one of the buggers off though :\  but got there in the end.
