Bloody dropped it.
#1
In a hurry forgot to take off disk lock and dropped it.  Luckily the lock broke and left the disk in tact. Sod's law though I've removed the crash bar but think my leg took most of the strain lol. Had a quick look for damage and even though the indicator is pointing upwards the fairing looks undamaged.  If anyone has a spare brake lever I may be in need as mine has bent quite a bit Sad

Must of been a strong disc and a weak lock!
Did same when I had my VFR750, lock and disc  survived unscathed but totally shattered the mudguard.

Seems I wasn't  too lucky after all.  The leg has cracked and judging by my calliper and disk it's leaking oil once warmed up  :'(

Now that is just bloody bad luck, shows what a steel disc lock can do to an alloy leg.

I'll have a spare brake lever for you.  I've just brought some Chinese ones from Ebay, just need to fit them.  How desperate for it are you?

Not sure which side you damaged, both of these have best offer so I'd risk a silly offer.
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Thanks Mtread and Harry I'm in no hurry as mine is bent but still usable, so if you remember to bring on our next it would be much appreciated. Even a cuppa tea much Wink

Cheers for the links Joe  I've ordered one which was  up for £39 which I thought was a fair price.
I'll give Mtreads Araldite method a go which hopefully will do until it arrives Smile

I would need a reminder to put the disc lock reminder on.... Only done this once. Fortunately only minor damage, but felt  a complete pratt lying on my side on the drive.
Good luck with it all, and will keep the lever handy in case

Do what I done with my bent brake lever... And i didnt drop it, it's how I got it with the bike honest guv Smile

Get a tube that fits over the lever and best it back into shape, mines was bent further away from the handgrip so I wedged a piece of wood in the 'gap' and gently bent the lever back, good as new now Smile
