Joined 4000 bikers Hoggin the bridge, crossing the old Severn Bridge back into Wales and onto Chepstow racecourse, all for charity. Great day out and spotted a few Fazers 600 & 1000.

Unfortunately couldn't make it this year , the downside of shift work .

My mate (who is a bike safety officer for South Wales fire service) was out with four guys recently and he was demonstrating safe overtaking and a pheasant hit him in the chest at 70 mph......said it fekin hurt :eek

You are doing it all wrong, you have to nut it as demonstrated by Iannone at Philip Island this weekend. Smile

I think Ducati will either leave the fairing with the hole or throw a seagull at him to wake him up and increase the adrenaline levels. :lol

Certainly one of the best overtakes I have seen in years, especially since the two he overtook were a few of the best riders in MotoGP. Big Grin

[/quote]Great fun to ride , torquey , light and agile , and bar and pegs seem to wrap you around the bike.

I had an electrical short last Friday that blew the "Ignition" fuse, causing the dash to go dark and the engine to go silent. I had the bike towed to the local MC shop for the week end, but upon notification that they probably would not get to it until later this week, I left work early yesterday and found that one of the aftermarket running light/blinker in front (a cheap Chinese piece of junk) had shorted.
Interestingly, I would have thought the running lights would be on the "Signal" fuse, but no, they share the ignition/dashboard fuse.
Anyhow, once the running light was disconnected and the fuse replaced, all was good and I rode the bike to work today.
On my way home, the clutch cable broke right at the lever... at 16,774 miles! Bummer, so I am out of biking until Thursday at least...

What was wrong with it that you had to get it repaired?

One of the coils had suspected failure. Took all apart turned out to be a cracked spark plug. :rollin :rollin

Weird one, how/why does a spark plug crack?

I've no idea it was number 4 that cracked sits direct in the most weather it was corroded to death and the others where like new. I'll put some pictures up maybe it was a heat thing?? I'm confused why it went myself although it did go when I was way over a tonne

Think I better check mine then, no idea how long they have been in.

Drilled the thread out of my rear brake master cyclinder after a quick measure showed it almost the same hole centre's as my Harris rearsets  Big Grin

Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Then sat on my bike in the shed to test out the fit and comfort for riding of my new Furygan Houston Amo jacket which, by coincidence, just happened to turn up today Smile  Imagine that, and me just happening to be at home as well!! :lol

I sense you are not telling us the whole story here, IMO the bike may have been out of the shed too  :rollin :rollin

At last found an aftermarket  can that I don' t think is too noisey Smile
Picked this up off ebay, brand new but probably old stock, £175,  had similiar one on my gen1 and have been looking for one for a few months, most I have seen have been damaged or overpriced, sometimes both!
The cardboard box it came in weighed more than the can, doesn't sound much louder than the standard can but looks a lot better.
Nice little bracket  for the mainstand to butt up against on left hand side included with it as there is no bracket on the link pipe.
Engine doesn't seem to pick up as well at  low revs so might be back to RaceHQ to get the fuel map tweaked but can live with it for now.
