Changed my front tyre myself. First attempt only took me best part of 1/2 hour including balancing.
And of course I've only fitted the best tyre too! 8)

I would not be telling the truth if I said I felt a difference,,all I can say is it pulls quite well 5 to 6,000 revs then gets going at 8,000 fuck, it goes straight to redline, each gear,,,it did before but when you are just popping down the road to test high revs you are in silly power, speed mode,,hell I had to hang on,,i do not usually change down two gears to feel high rev power but I did :lol :eek :eek :eekhell it pulls,

I did one from standstill all the gears to 150mph (private road) 14 seconds,,i was steady in lower gears to keep the front down :eek, a bit scary with the bars all light, I was sat at the front of the seat , I could do better by really leaning forwards if I tried.

No but it really goes up top,,i was already happy with the middle grunt of the map I had,its where I usually ride the thing,so I think its still around the same.Quite happy tho,,its a bloody beast, well especially with the bars up in the air and trying to slip me off the back :lol

Here's the thing with me....ok mine is running a bit lean....ive done most of the mods but i just need to disconnect the o2 sensor

But im still not even running a power commander yet my bike, i feel is still a beast in the power department.......and im stalling fitment of the PC5 i have because as usual im not 100% about keeping the bike & if i take it out the box & fit it ill get less on resale.

Everyone says no way if you do the mods you have to run a power commander.....im not entirely sure about that....mine is perfectly useable and the mods have each worked in their own way to make it better......but running a power commander without actiually custom mapping it like brooker did is probably just as bad as not running one at all i reckon.

Will be good to eventually meet up with you slim to compare the bikes even roughly as we thunder on

Fitted new SS studs, oil cooler, oil filter, new coolant pipe, some EXUP valve-less headers (thanks Devilsyam) , fresh oil, fresh coolant, polished the headers a bit, polished the SS link pipe, gave the can a once over too, fitted new SS jubilee clips where I could, replaced as many bolts as I could with SS while putting it back together. Just to remind you the following is a before and after.
