Newbie saying hello
#1
Newbie to Fazers, that is. Been biking for over 40 years, 10 of which were spent in the bike trade.
Just bought an FZ1, 10 years old but only 9,000 on the clock; if you took the number plate off you'd think it was built yesterday, it's that clean. Smooth, quiet, great handling and balance, as easy to ride as a 125- and then the tacho goes over 5,000 with a wide throttle and the world goes mad.
Absolutely love her, "awesome" as the Yanks would say.
And if you haven't guessed, my name is John and I live in Eltham, South East London/Kent borders.
Warm greetings to all.

Thank you, Downey.
She's a 2005 model in silver, as I understand it the last of the models with carbs and a conventional double-cradle frame.
In all those years she's the first big Yam I've owned, and she is brilliant.

Must be love- "she", not "it" !!

I look forward to reading, learning and contributing. And I'll try and get some pics up..........

Greetings. You're just down the road from me - will you be on the A2 heading in to London every morning as well?
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."
