Came up with a cunning plan :think .....wait til the baby goes to bed for the night & then go out on the bike.
Sat patiently through Iggle Foccin Piggle & off she went at 7.......cue me bombusting outta the door to my waiting bike & kit prepared earlier & off i went round the finest of Pembrokeshire coast.
Ended up being an hour and a half.....Newgale, St davids, Fishguard, Newport Pembs, over the Presseli hills & home
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Getting cross with iggle piggle you have a lot of telly watching to learn yet. :lol
It's great to see photos from when people go out, especially with great views, but I have no idea how you do it... once I'm out and about on the bike I rarely stop until I get home! Having too much fun haha
Feeling a little happier, spent all night tracing and repairing an intermittent electrical fault in the permanent live feed to the clocks and alarm.
Thought it was in the branch from the main loom to the connectors under the LH Fairing infill panel as wiggling the branch gave increase in voltage so stripped this back but no breaks or cuts in the insulation.
Had to pull out the whole loom and strip off all the insulation. Turned out to be the crimped joint where the the alarm feed is cut into the clock feed, it had totally corroded and fell apart as I was pulling off the insulation. Didn't have any solder so made connection with insulated bullet connectors and covered with heatshrink. The joint had been getting hot as it had also caused some minor damage on the insulation on two other wires and quite a lot of heat marks. Looks like I dodged a bullet as it could easily caused a fire. Checked all other connections in the same area but they were all ok so just re-wrapped them all.
Loom is now re-wrapped and ready to re-install tomorrow night.
Brooker81 Why is your bike relegated to and jammed up the side of he garage on a little mat like a dog in the corner.
It should be sat proud right in the middle !!
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
I agree fazersharp. It was in the middle at one point ut the misses kept "accidently" knocking into it with things so i moved her into her dog mat in the corner.
Beautiful day at last. Wrexham, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Llynclys, Tanat Valley, over the Berwyns to Bala for dinner at Cafe Tegid by the lake. Lots of bikers coming and going, including Police on bikes and in cars. Back home via Corwen, Llandega, around 85 miles.
Good to see the police pulling up for a chill Antequil...were they being sound enough then....down to earth or being nobs?
Well...almost thought id be riding 2 days in a row...even had the bike out front and ready.....not to be though .....im like a spoilt grounded kid trying to get out on my skateboard.....my time will come as soon as the mother in law gets back from her caravan & i get a day pass.
Anyway my only bike related activities included dropping my yokes more.....just a smidge ......luckily my forks are so stiff i wont bottom out through the front mudguard :eek .......i just felt that it was running a little wide & this is an easy fix to get my weight on the front.
Oh & i applied a smidge of old rad hose to my gear selector lever to see if it helps.

They were pretty friendly to be fair, Noggy, not interested in scrutinising our bikes looking for problems.
It's the Go Safe vans that you have to be vigilant for. Even though North Wales Police had signed up to ACPO guidelines, if you ride 1 mph over the limit they may prosecute, particularly with Operation Darwin now in operation, which is aimed at educating motorcyclists not to use North Wales roads as race tracks. I'm coming across vans in new locations every ride. Seem to spend much of the ride watching the speedo.
