Got out yesterday and cleaned up the RX-8 and did a little touch up on the ZS. I'm planning to clean up the RX-8 from head to toe ready for it to go through a motor auction - got convinced by my neighbours that it was a good idea so I'm going to take a punt on it
I already have plans for my next car... I should wait but we'll see what happens
Rode the Guzzi to Minehead today ,stopping at Riders in Bridgewater on the way , getting used to it, I reckon 75 miles each way is about far as my upper back can take , the mind is willing ,just wish the body felt the same way .
Well it's confirmed, the RX-8 is gone. Cleaned it up as I mentioned before and it got entered in to the Auctions on Thursday and sold that evening. Waiting on confirmation of exactly what it sold for, but I believe it was £850 (minus fees) - not great, but not terrible I suppose considering it's issues. At least it is dealt with and there is no come back on it
I went from Wrexham to Caernarfon on the XJ600 yesterday, then on to Anglesey to attend the Welsh Classic Motorcycle Festival at Trac Mon. 175 miles in all. Booked a B & B in Caernarfon for the 27th June as I am assisting my brother at the Wirral 100 Club meeting at Trac Mon where he is racing.

Love the Guzzi
We followed one from Baden-Baden on the B500 a couple of years back. The old? rider was clad in black, oldstyle leathers. He didn't hang about & the bike handled beautifully. I don't know what model it was but it was fun to follow on such a great road.

Nice Tuono nick
What is the volume like with that endcan, or is it like my s1r whereby most of the volume is muted by the exhaust valve.
I ask because I fitted an Akra yesterday & while it's a little deeper in tone it doesn't sound any louder.
I'll post a pic if I can remember how to :o
It isn't that much louder than the huge standard can. Aprilia fitted an exhaust valve purely for noise regs. it remains closed until 6000 rpm to pass the noise tests. (God only knows how they got away with that one!). I disconnected mine because it caused hunting on a steady throttle.. It's the best sounding bike i've ever owned... 8)

I can only guess how loud it is with the valve open
Traded in my old car. An 07 skoda roomster for a 14 plate insignia. Big moment, the skoda the first car that was 100% mine but had alot of help to buy her. The insignia is going to be 100% purchased by me and owned by me.
Feel like I'm growing up.
I've more or less never owned a vehicle less than 10 years old... (I bought my thou when it was 9 1/2 years old )
I guess my first step is to buy something less than 10 years old then I'll feel like a grown up when I manage to afford something that is less than 3 years old
For now though, I'll stick to cars born around the 90's
Went out on the Guzzi pass Castle combe , back home via Corsham , Bath , Chelvey Bridge and Chew valley lake , enjoying the sunshine on this great little bike to ride , perfect for the twisty roads , 500 miles done , 200 more to do by the end of June , then she goes in for first service .

Did the 50 mile cycle route of the Coventry and Rugby Bikeathon for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Charity, with my wife Liz, son Ryan and his best friend. Great weather, great ride (even though we did it on our mountain bikes and got passed by hundreds (or what seemed like hundreds) of road bike riders) and lovely fresh roast pork and stuffing sandwiches at the end
