Na, unlikely. Rode the R1 to work this morning, and the comparison is a bit like this.
The R1 is like riding a scalpel, and the gen 1 is like riding a meat cleaver. Both razor sharp, but very different!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

took it for a wee 200 mile round trip for some lunch...

took a ride up with mr crisp to thunder road m/cs to collect hedgetrimmer number 5 even the drive up was eventfull as mr crisp has an issue with me screaming 3 times BRAKE

so the new bike was ridden back to devils hq for the usal fazer mods
rode really well nice tight bike felt like i should be running it in lol

fitted r6 unit to nicks bike and moved over to see what i can rescue from hedge trimmer number 4

after being let down in body work managed to source parts from various locations so at least its roughly back together

Rode it 120 miles to Dunoon and back with a local mcc. Managed to keep up with a Harley so I didn't do too bad :lol

DY...good effort there and the fazerecut already looking....errr...interesting.........with all these different panels then is the plan to dip them all...or is it a surprise?

FAZER day , went pass Castle Combe , The White Horse , SIlbury Hill , onto Warminster , pass Stonehenge , over Salisbury plain , pass Longleat , through Frome , pass Chew valley Lake , over Sundry and home ,rain stayed away bike was great silky smooth , instant acceleration , sounding fantastic .

Yeh mostly black its just the red bits that spoil it.
I just hope that he is ready to move up to an almost black one
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Still thinking about a custom paint job. Not sure what to go for. I would put up a thread here for suggestions, but I'm seriously thinking about a custom paint job  :lol

Washed it, cleaned front callipers, fitted nautilus air horn (Darrsi wiring diagram is the dogs bollocks) its held on with lots of cable ties at the moment until i can make a bracket next week at work.
Got it ready for a trip into Wales tomorrow. :woot
