there are for this reason know them as Helmholtz resonator.
hey don't just specifically apply to our 5 valve engines.  It's to control exhaust sound waves to emit a certain sound frequency and possible exhaust scavenging if done right.

I finally rode mine :eek ........all the way to the mot station which i strategically picked to be 30 miles away :lol ........was shitting myself that stuff would fall off....& me!...........anyway it was foccing ace jus getting back in the saddle.....i coulda rode a vespa & been just as happy...

Apology time.....stevie...ive been promising to try out maxxis diamonds for so long now but when i asked them about them they were like oooof...oooossss.....ahhhhhhh.....plus we dont stick them we'll have to order in special.....there was no guarantee to have my bike back by the weekend when i start my next group of shifts :\ .........so i really am sorry...i shall try them one day but i really need to get my arse riding again.

Apart from that my intermittent starting problem isnt resolved yet & my brake resorvoir had been leaking & i was worried it would start its shit again and fail the mot while spoiling my paintwork.....luckily it seemed to be sealed when i got there.

Bike was going well...new throttle cable seems a dream.....not sure if that's the reason but i can now hold steady a line while going round a roundabout for example without feeling like a kangaroo......still fast as foc under full throttle...wee bit wheely happy with the high bars but makes up for it with more cornering prowess & sharp turn in after jacking up and pitching down.....still a bone shaker though....ill change fork springs next year.

After some discussion & price viewing & seeing what they actally had in stock I've gone with some Michellin Pilot Power 2CT.....i didn't quite see that id fully appreciate how mighty the Pilot Road 4 could be & while my Road 3 were good they werent exactly what id call thrilling so i said foc it ill give these Power thingies a try.

Only dropped the bike off at 4pm & when i got back home at half 5 i had an answer message saying my bike was "done".........could it be?????? 8)

Wheeled it out and gave it a wash.

First time I've touched it since my accident, I'm still in a brace, on crutches, and can't stand on my left leg so no chance of getting on it let alone riding.
So had to make do with a bit of pampering.

Soon though.  Wink

Get well soon everybody.

Just to cheer yous up & prove that my bike moved...with me on it...here's an action shot from yesterday courtesy of the mother in law who prior to this was also trying to scare the life outta me with her tales of injured bikers she dealt with in hospital......i said to her what about all the car drivers you dealt with then.....bit biased really but she means well.

The blur is obviously speed blur.....not just camera shake :lol
