It's not bad - just needs something to tidy up the clocks imo. They are one of the few things that always let down the naked fazers imo

Rode home from Arromanches, Normandy after my weekend of visiting D-Day sites.
Didn't all go smoothly, during the ride down on Friday bike started pissing out fuel from overflow, couldn't stop it at the roadside so decided to continue onto Normandy, used about twice as much fuel as normal and bike would only run properly at over 6000rpm. Pulled out the carbs & stripped them down at the B&B Friday night but couldn't see anything wrong put them back together and got all back on the bike Saturday morning, no leaks so well chuffed but can't understand what the caused the original problem. But all in all a great weekend, would recommend Normandy to anyone thinking of going.

Pity about the bike playing up, but sounds like you enjoyed the trip nevertheless. What did you see/where exactly did you go? Pics? So many WW2 battlefields I'd like to see, and maybe will one day, if I can stay shiny side up for long enough :lol Was probably safer being zeroed in by German 88s than riding my bike - the hedgerows of the Norman Bocage have nothing on Welsh ones :rolleyes :lol

Yep all easy enough and straight forward! Not put my end weights on yet as i need to sort some threaded plugs for the bars but saying that it is riding as it was with them so it will only be to close off the bar ends. Theres a guy on youtube, DellBoys garage or something, great vid for fitting Renthals (to a Bandit but you get the idea) if you are unsure about anything. Edit: around an hour for the bars taking my time and 10 minutes for the levers ![]()

errm..... dropped it off at friendly bike shop after been recovered of A3 this morning as it spluttered & died 2.5 miles after filling up!!
(I might have put diesel in but pretty sur I didn't. No I don't have receipt as it was pay at pump & wasn't bothered bout little bit of paper.... No I cant remember if it was green or black as was early) didn't smell like diesel but low fuel light had been on for 10 miles last night so could just be dirty fuel, big clouds of white smoke when it restarted but then cut out!! 14/5/15 edit: went back to petrol station & reprinted receipt & lo and behold yep diesel!!! :'( ah well it was gonna be serviced & MOT'd after Rorkes Drift Rally anyway so now it be done before!!!
It ain't what you ride, it's who you ride with!!!
