what did you do with your fazer today ?
Got up at daft o'clock, and went north on motorway and dual carriageway, 80 miles of rubbish roads to meet youngsterbikernorth of Perth, but duly arrived about the promised time of 9am, had a coffee, then we had a good run down some damp but pleasant A and B class roads.(some dubious overtakes I may add) :lol
Both had a good day, we went via Aberfeldy, Killin, Aberfoyle (where we exchanged rear footpegs and sorted out his awesome sounding exhaust as you do when your out :rollin ) then onto Balloch where youngsterbiker left with a big grin on his face as he knew he was going to ride for two hours to get home on back roads lol
I went to my mates then home and fixed my seat, see my thread.
Great day :-)

Rode back from work at midnight last night at a bumbling pace on the big fazer. Barely a car on the road, weather was gorgeous, and tunes blaring away in my lid. It was one of those journeys I just didn't want to end! Smile
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I love those sorts of journeys - I came across some lovely roads with great scenery that I just didn't want to end, but unfortunately they only seem to last for about 5-10 miles :'(

Glad you're ok, we all do daft things from time to time and have been caught out when filtering on a couple of occasions in the past myself. Hope you don't get too badly raped on the insurance  :eek
Time we had a spill counter here on FOC-U.

Havent seen your bike feature in a while Mick.....nice bar ends 8)

Well........i cant quite believe it...but i got my bike started today :eek ......i even rode it around the street :eek .........& i started it with an old Yuasa battery thats been in my cupboard for about a year which kinda proves my store your battery inside during the winter theory........anyway i switched it off so i could check the new oil level & then it wouldnt start again  :o .......coulda been my old intermittent starting issue......more likely the battery had given up & 1 start was all it was worth.......so i fitted my Mottobat battery thats been stored inside for about  7 months & the bike started up again 8) .

Adjusted the idle down a bit & inflated the tyres to spec & did some toodling around the cul de sac to try the brakes & then observed for any leaks etc.

Even my new throttle cable which i fitted didnt ping off....& it felt silky as foc

Im proper chuffed

Im insured from the 18th so ill book it in then for an mot & tyres & in the meantime finish off a couple of small jobs.

they are 758's. got them from here:

www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/handlebars/renthal-superbike-ultra-low-bars

and the bar ends are from here:

http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/acatalog/Motorcycle_Small_Universal_Bar_End_Weights.html

Yes, they are well clear of the tank, but they do foul on the screen (the zero gravity screen I have fitted is wider than a normal one, so there is less clearance to begin with). I'm comfortable with where the bars and levers are, so Ill probably go down the road of trimming some of the screen away for clearance. Just went a 40 mile ride and there is no issue fouling while riding, its only an issue for parking etc.

Loads of guys on here have them with no issues with fouling, so its likely my screen that is causing the issue, if I play about with the bar position I may get clearance too.
